Itinerary A Downtown
The visit to this sweet town along via Rossellino, Pienza's main artery that cuts longitudinally and over which the various palaces built by Bernardo Rossellino for the cardinals of the Curia during the pontificate of Pope Pius II, Enea Silvio century Piccolomini. Museum Diocesan
Located inside the Bishop's palace, the residence of Cardinal Borgia pope and the future, the museum brings together many works of art, paintings, handmade of jewelry, tapestries, vestments, sculptures that are closely linked to the history of the city.To close the square stands the Palazzo Comunale.
The B route of pieve Corsignano
A few minutes from Pienza are, immersed in greenery, this beautiful Romanesque church. Especially noteworthy are the portals decorated with ancient symbols, the cylindrical tower of the tenth century and the crypt under the presbytery.
